Performing the Survival of The Nietzschean Überfrau
Comparing herself and all she has in common with feminist and female performer Ariana Grande, this low-budget Ari-creation of the God is a Woman Music Video (2018) dissects the universal and seemingly ever-growing 'Survival Guide' adopted by (super) Women. This practice communicates the correlation between the Nietzschean Übermensch and disregard for the Überfrau. Ari-creations aimed to perform the similarities between Grande's 2018 work and 'Zarathustra's Discourses - Of The Three Metamorphoses' within Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra (1884).
Journal: What does 'femininity' feel like for me today?
27.02.22: Comfy clothes, huge pants, wet hair, no shoes just socks, that black primark bra that does nothing for me, a fresh pad, junk food, take no shit attitude.
06.03.22: Gym clothes, French plaits, ‘Girls Only’ Spotify playlist, my underestimated knowledge of football, a thong, more junk food.
20.03.22: Freshly shaved legs, hormonal spots, long fingernails, no make up, getting shit done, I still hate pink - when I don’t actually hate pink, I just deliberately don’t like it because I’m told all girls love it.
03.04.22: I’ve lost weight, long hair, feeling strong and independent, productive, not getting stressed about things that usually would stress me out, an evening planned with family.
10.04.22: Pretty sure carrying football stuff to the garage is foreshadowing something in my future life, being a supporter, speaking through all these ideas with Mum.
29.05.22: Bloated, Back ache, I’m a homeowner now, Egg and Bacon Breakfast, 'T' is doing DIY whilst I’m at Uni.
05.06.22: No make up, high sex drive, productive, confident, to use contraception or not chat.
